Divar Island is a must-visit destination that shows you a glimpse of the slow-paced side of Goa. The island is adorned with ancient buildings and churches, showcasing its rich history. It's fascinating to witness how people have created a self-sustaining ecosystem there. You can take the affordable ferry ride, costing only 10 rupees, which runs every 5-10 minutes. During our visit, we spontaneously explored the island, only to find most places closed for the day. To fully enjoy the island's offerings, I suggest booking a guided tour in advance so that you don't miss out the experiences there. Plan ahead and embrace all the island has to offer for a truly memorable experience.

I recently visited this island and found it to be a silent, calm, and peaceful place, away from the chaos of the city. The island can be reached via a free ferry ride and has some beautiful scenic viewpoints, churches, temples, restaurants, and bars. The locals were well-behaved, and it was a refreshing change from the typical tourist hotspots in Goa. I would highly recommend this island to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway from the city.

OMG ! Beautiful, Serene and must visit in Goa. It’s like the other side of the coin … away from the bustling cities. There are free ferries for bikes to reach these islands and they charge minimal amounts for Car. There are very few places to visit there.. but it’s the place and atmosphere that mesmerises you. There are few food joints on the island to grab quick bites. Half a day tops to cover both the Chorao and Divar Islands. Thanks to Govt for the free Ferry.

Nice place to spend an hour or two just roaming here and there. The fields and vibe around this place is very different from rest of Goa. The experience of hoping on and off the ferry is nice. Just be careful taking your car on the ferry if ground clearance is low (i scraped mine a bit). Would recommend eating at rock inn restaurant and bar.

Divar Island wow!!! One of the best island in goa. This is a historical landmark place. The place is very peaceful full of natural beauty greenery covered with Mandovi river. The only way to come here from the feri which is free of cost for two wheeler and for four wheeler they can charge only 10 rupees for one side. There is a very famous old church called “our lady of piety”. Roads are amazing if you are going with two wheeler and definitely you will enjoy the trip. Overall my experience was really good must visit at least one time if you are in goa……….!

Wow! Words aren't sufficient to explain the beauty of this place. Blessed are the folks who get to spend their life here. Nature seems to be at its best here. The people here haven't ruined the place yet. Well connected through the water ways and the Govt operated jetty. The mangroves welcome you with a great view. The village itself is quite secluded from the maddening world around. If you are visiting Goa not just for its beaches and night clubs this should be on your to visit list. Drive down or hike or just bicycle, and enjoy what this place has to offer.
